Safety and privacy

Warm connection needs clear exits.

SerenVoice is designed for brief, identity-private peer calls between adults. Safety controls stay close before, during, and after the call.

A Seren character previewing Voice Veil before a call

Voice Veil

Less recognisable. Never a guarantee.

Voice Veil adjusts voice pitch and formant locally before microphone audio is published. Preview audio is not uploaded or saved.

Accent, speech patterns, surroundings, and personal details may still identify someone. Use the same care you would use with any person you do not know.

Leave at any time

Either person can end a call. A call does not create an ongoing thread, permanent contact, or right to further contact.

Report and block

Safety actions remain available during and after a call. Reports can be retained for moderation and abuse prevention.

No call recordings by default

Seren keeps operational call metadata needed for reliability, billing, and safety, but does not record call audio by default.

Adults only

SerenVoice is for people aged 18 and over. Date-of-birth and account checks support that boundary.

No public identity

Names, account emails, and account photos are not shown in Thoughts, Requests, Calls, or other user-facing areas.

Voice Veil fails closed

If masking was selected and cannot be applied, the call does not silently publish the natural microphone voice.

The support boundary

Seren is peer connection, not professional care.

SerenVoice is not therapy, medical or legal advice, crisis support, or an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.
