Safety model

Temporary conversations still need accountability.

SerenVoice is anonymous and private by design. That means safety has to be handled without turning every conversation into public content. This is the model we are building around.

Visible safety controls

Every conversation has safety paths. Users can report, block, or leave when something does not feel right. Severe reports can automatically block the other person.

No default call recordings

SerenVoice is built around private conversations. We do not record calls by default, but reports keep non-audio safety records such as conversation ID, time, report reason, account signals, and block history.

After-conversation reporting

After a conversation or call ends, users can still report or block. Safety does not disappear just because the conversation closes.

Account and device enforcement

Reports, blocks, repeated abuse patterns, device signals, and account history can be reviewed. Accounts that break the rules can be limited or removed.

Adults only

SerenVoice asks for date of birth during signup and blocks under-18 access. Accounts can be reviewed if age or safety rules are violated.

Crisis-aware design

SerenVoice is not an emergency service, therapy, or crisis care. We are designing prompts and support routing for self-harm or urgent safety situations before wider public launch.

Cold start

What happens if nobody answers right away?

SerenVoice is not instant roulette. A Story can wait for the right person while you leave the app and carry on with your day. People find it in a calm feed by lived experience, without likes, comments, or follower counts.

Stories appear in a feed so people can discover anonymous experiences.
People search and filter by lived experiences, not profiles or popularity.
Connection requests are private and one-to-one.
Text chat can include voice notes inside the same conversation.
An anonymous call only happens when the request mode and both users allow it.
If nobody responds, the Story does not become a public performance metric.
